Gertie(Gertrude)

Little Gertie is such a sweet little lady who was handed a raw deal. Breast or mammary cancer is a real problem in aging senior female dogs if they aren’t spayed in a timely manner. Sometimes we can remove masses with ease and there is no metastatic spread or lymph node invasion. Unfortunately for Gertie she didn’t get off so easy. Fortunately she has a great foster mom who has committed to giving her the best life for however long she has left. our vets estimated she has anywhere from 4-6 months to live. So for now she’s spending lots of time getting cuddles. We recently rechecked xrays for metastatic spread and so far she’s still looking good!
