If you’d like to start the ADOPTION PROCESS, please fill out a non-binding Adoption Application. A member of our matchmaker team will get back to you in 3-5 business days. Some of our senior sweeties receive multiple applications, if a dog is no longer available our Matchmaker team is happy to help find you another good match. All adoptions include:
- 2-week trial sniffing period.
- Support from our matchmaker team and foster family.
- Up-to date medical care including lab work and dental care
- 1 FREE future exam and lab work at our clinic in Lakeside.
- Additional exams and lab work for only $125.
- Adoption fee is $250, $125 for seniors 60yrs or over, veterans, or individuals on disabilty.

- Forever foster families provide loving home while Lionel’s Legacy provides necessary and approved food, supplies, and medical care at one of our contracted vets.
- Forever fosters must live in the San Diego or Orange County areas.
- Forever fosters must do an online monthly check-in.
