Sweet Emmeline was one of last year’s OBGs (Oldies But Goodies) pulled from the OC Animal Care shelter prior to the 4th of July. Poor little Emmeline had been hit by a car and suffered multiple pelvic fractures. On top of that, she had a large mammary mass. Our plan had been to wait for her bones to heal before removing the mass, but it had a mind of its own and started growing. Emmaline underwent surgery to remove that mass and was given a 4-6 month prognosis since it was malignant. Well, she has surpassed expectations and is going on a year plus. She has been hospitalized for Pancreatitis and is on a prescription diet which her foster family sponsors. She comes to Casa De Lionel for swimming lessons and is maintaining her strength. She’s quite the little fighter!

MONTHLY SPONSORS: Kathleen Jetson,  Sue and Sharyn Noll.

Poor little Emmeline had been hit by a car and suffered multiple pelvic fractures. On top of that, she had a large mammary mass. Our plan had been to wait for her bones to heal before removing the mass, but it had a mind of its own and started growing. She recently underwent surgery to remove that mass, and is still on crate rest for her healing bones. She is feeling much better, though, and starting to show her spunky nature. She is tiny in size but mighty in spirit!
